Alvar Aalto Art Posters: The State of Modernism
Alvar Aalto and the State of Modernism
The Alvar Aalto and the State of Modernism poster was designed for the first international Alvar Aalto Symposium, which was held in Jyväskylä on 1–3 July 1979. The theme of the symposium was closely related to Aalto’s architecture, with the main focus on the heritage of modern architecture and its relationship to Aalto’s work. It was chaired by the architect Kirmo Mikkola. The poster features an Alvar Aalto wood-bending relief from 1934.
