Alvar Aalto Art Posters: Museum of Central Finland
Alvar Aalto Architecture Exhibition poster from 1962. The sketch shows the Alvar Aalto-designed Seinäjoki Town Hall (1958–60), which is part of Seinäjoki’s Administrative and Cultural Centre – an integrated architectural whole unlike anything else anywhere in the world.
The exhibition was shown in the Alvar Aalto-designed Museum of Central Finland (1956–61, 1991). The poster produced for the Jyväskylä Arts Festival was designed by the Italian architect Federico Marconi, who worked in Aalto’s office.
